主讲人简介

Dr. Christina G. Chi is professor at the School of Hospitality Business Management (SHBM) in the Carson College of Business, Washington State University. She is also Hospitality Business Management Fellow and Research Insights Coordinator at SHBM. Her area of research includes tourism marketing, travelers’ behaviors and hospitality management. Dr. Chi is well published in top tier tourism/hospitality journals and widely cited. She is included in the world’s top 2% most cited scientists’ list (career-long and single-year) published by Stanford University & Elsevier. Dr. Chi is regularly invited by universities in various parts of the world as visiting professor and guest lecturer, and as external reviewer for their faculty promotion. Additionally, Dr. Chi is frequently invited by research foundations in various countries to review and assess grant proposals. Dr. Chi serves on the editorial boards for several hospitality & tourism journals and reviews papers regularly for top tier hospitality & tourism journals.

Dr. Chi is Research Fellow for School of Tourism and Hospitality, University of Johannesburg, South Africa and Research Fellow for International Center for Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality, University of Mauritius, Mauritius. In 2020, Dr. Chi was inducted into International Association for China Tourism Studies (IACTS) as a fellow. In 2021, Dr. Chi was appointed as a Member of the Business Studies Panel of the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong, SAR. Dr. Chi is also frequently interviewed by the media on tourism and hospitality related issues, including CGTN America, CNN, BBC World and others.

池教授是华盛顿州立大学卡尔森商学院酒店商业管理系的教授、酒店商业管理研究员和研究洞察协调员。她的研究领域包括旅游营销、旅行者行为和酒店管理,在旅游/酒店业顶级期刊发表大量文章,并被广泛引用。她入选了斯坦福大学和爱思唯尔(Elsevier)发布的全球被引用次数最多的科学家榜单(职业生涯和单一年度)前2%。定期被多所大学邀请,开讲座以及作为客座教授,并担任他们教师晋升的外部评审员。此外,池教授还经常被各国的研究基金会邀请审查和评估资助提案,在一些酒店和旅游期刊的编委会任职,为顶级期刊评审论文。

池教授还是南非约翰内斯堡大学旅游与酒店学院研究员、毛里求斯大学可持续旅游与酒店国际中心研究员。于2020年成为国际中国旅游研究协会(IACTS)会员。在2021年,被任命为香港特别行政区研究资助局(研资局)的商业研究小组成员。还经常就旅游和酒店业相关问题接受媒体采访,包括中国国际电视台(CGTN America)、美国有线电视新闻网(CNN)、英国广播公司(BBC World)等。

内容简介:

In recent years, sustainability in tourism and hospitality has attracted many scholars’ attention and interest, including myself. The sustainability principles apply to the environmental, cultural and economic aspects of tourism development, and a suitable balance must be established between these three dimensions to guarantee its long-term sustainability. In this seminar, I would like to talk about two recent projects related to the environmental and cultural aspects of sustainable tourism.

1) Narrowing the Intention-Behavior Gap: The Impact of Hotel Green Certification (IJHM)

The looming threat of climate change on the environment has called for sustainable consumption and business practices. This study aims to address the paradox of green consumption, i. e. customers’ intention-behavior gap, by examining the role of green certification.

2) Framing Food Tourism Videos: What Drives Viewers’ Attitude and Behavior? (JHTR)

There is no better way to discover a destination’s culture, history and environment than via food tourism. This study aims to uncover the effects of food tourism video framing styles on viewers’ attitudes and behaviors, unravel the underlying mechanism, and explore the most effective brand placement strategies in food tourism promotion.

近年来,旅游和酒店业的可持续问题引起了许多学者的关注和兴趣,包括我自己。可持续原则适用于旅游发展的环境、文化和经济方面,并且必须在这三个方面建立适当的平衡,以保证旅游业的长期可持续发展。在此次讲座,我想谈谈最近两个与可持续旅游的环境和文化方面相关的项目。

1)缩小意图与行为的差距:酒店绿色认证的影响(IJHM)

气候变化对环境的威胁迫在眉睫,这要求人们采取可持续的消费和商业行为。本研究旨在通过研究绿色认证的作用来解决绿色消费的悖论,即顾客的意图-行为差距。

2)设计美食旅游视频:是什么在驱动观众的态度和行为?(JHTR)

没有什么比通过美食旅游来发现目的地的文化、历史和环境更好的方式了。本研究旨在揭示美食旅游视频的设计风格对观众态度和行为的影响,以此揭开其背后的机制,并探索美食旅游推广中最有效的品牌投放策略。
